Kelly Osbourne and Matthew Mosshart ended their engagement and confirmed as much in a statement. Kelly explained that loving couples split up for no reason all the time, so there’s no reason for you to look at the receipts.
Sharon Osbourne, however, makes it sound as though Kelly was never going to get married in the first place.
“I can’t talk for my daughter, [but] Matthew is a lovely guy,” Sharon told The Talk. “They had two great years together of fun and love and to me, that’s why engagements are so important.”
Sharon added, “Engagements are a test run, aren’t they? And so it didn’t work for whatever reason but they are still good friends and will continue to be. It’s just not right for them right now. So — let the auditions begin!”
Previously, Kelly had explained “It was a mutual decision. We love each other very much. It just wasn’t the right time for us, and I think if we weren’t as mature and adult than we are, then we could have gone down a road that wasn’t really nice. We’re still really, really good friends; it’s just we’re not living in the same house.”
