In search of something more uplifting than the people-versus-other people misery that has dominated the news, I’m gonna talk about supermodels.


Forbes has released its list of 2014’s top earning supermodels and a few folks might be surprised that the list is not topped by anyone named Kate, or by Heidi Klum.


But personally I am not at all surprised that it is once again the pride of Brazil, the ridiculously-hot Gisele Bundchen, also wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who is Number One on the list. She made $47 million before taxes last year, according to Forbes.


Way back fighting it out for second place is Dutch model Doutzen Kroes, and another Brazilian, Adriana Lima. The full list and story from Forbes is here.
