There were two goals Kate Gosselin had for herself yesterday when she appeared on Today. OK, a few more than two but they all revolved around her. For the past few months she has been pitching television show ideas to networks because she misses being on television every week and all the attention she gets. Make no mistake. The woman loves attention. Lots of it and she likes it all focused on her. She wants the limo rides and the hair and makeup all for herself. She wants the interviews and books and everything to say Kate. Not Kate and....
The problem is the networks don't like her solo. They like her with the kids. So, yesterday was her chance to get her two oldest kids in front of the camera and show production companies what they could do and it was a disaster. The teens obviously don't want to help their mother. Did they purposefully throw her under a bus? It sure looked that way when they didn't want to talk and makes me think Kneepads did one of their glorious jobs of reporting and let Kate do the talking for the kids when they did their "interview."
All along though Kate has wanted a Bachelorette type show focused on her. She wants guys to date her. Wine and dine her and fawn all over her while she is the star of the show. She wants to film in exotic destinations and will "sacrifice" time spent with her kids to film. She knows all the press for the show would be about her and that all the focus would be her and she sees the show running for many years because she doesn't actually want someone to be with because that would mean sharing more of the spotlight.
She wants classy for the show and wants a big budget and great guys and also wants about $1M a season for herself plus a bunch of other demands.
